Comments: This place is definitely over rated. For the same nightly rate, the Northshore Inn has nicer rooms, cleaner bathrooms, full amenities(full use of fully stocked kitchen, internet that works in all the rooms, friendly and helpful staff, etc). Lahainas last resort has small cramped rooms, unappealing shared bathroom and very poor wireless accessibility from the rooms, though they advertise the opposite.The location is right on the highway, at a corner, so you hear traffic noise in the early morning and night. I stayed with LLR for 2 nights and then moved to Northshore where it is quieter, friendlier and more comfortable. Wailuku is also less touristy if that is the experience you prefer.
