Kauai is a magical place, and home to the mythical land of Hanalei. The biggest "oops" of many Hawaii hostellers is when they don't visit Kauai and have to constantly hear from others how great it is. Kalaulau Trail alone is worth a trip to this island.Kauai does not offer much in the way of hostels, there just aren't many there. This island is great for camping. If you have a backpack and a tent, you got it made on Kauai. ( We also recommend a hammock.)
Kauai helicopter tours are a once in a lifetime experience. Tours on the island of Kauai are a great way to go due to the lack of public transportation, and the few affordable places to stay.
