Volcano has friendly small town charm, and easy acess to Hawaii\'s natural wonders. The village of Volcano is a small town located about 30 miles from Hilo. The town is far enough from the lavaflows to be safe but close enough to provide easy acess. Because of its location it is a great base for exploring Volcanoes National Park.
The volcanoes in Hawaii are not like most other volcanoes around the world. Hawiian volcanoes like Kilauea, tend to produce long lasting stable eruptions that result in rivers of lava constantly flowing, rather than building pressure and then exploding violently. The stability of Hawaii volcanoes also makes Volcano a great place to be able to see them close up, without being serious risk of danger.
